Sewing fun!

I got a new sewing machine this weekend. Yay!
I was only without a working machine for a week, but even that felt way too long!



I made a new outfit for my daughter's Barbie doll...

What are you afraid of?

This was inspired by a prompt that asked me to do an art journal page on one of the things that I am afraid of.

Death has been on my mind a lot lately so I did a page for that.

I'm kind of meh about how it turned out, but it was good to play with paint and paper and glue again.

I decided not to let my current lack of a working sewing machine stop me from sewing. I made a new outfit for my daughter's Barbie doll.

The fabric is from the top half of a dress that I recently made into a skirt for myself. I picked the dress up from the salvation army a few months ago. I love the fabric, it is so soft.

bead fun!

I decided to play with beads again. Not that I've done much with beads before. I've made a few sets of pagan prayer beads and I've used bead for embellishment on art quilts, but that is just about it really.

My first earrings...



The beads are mostly glass with a few gemstone beads thrown in.

It was just stuff I had on hand. I recently made a big crazy order from Fire Mountain Gems, but it won't be here until next week. I'm really looking forward to it getting here!
